Dual Channel Ram Slots Not Working

Dual channel is acheived by pairing the memory in side by side slots. I attempted putting the working ram into the other slot but did not get success.

Dual channel ram slots not working. I was hoping icrontic might have an idea because i'm completely lost. Matching ram not working in dual channel. That answers the first part, but i'm still not sure why i can only seem to use the modules in single channel and not dual channel.

We know that ryzen 3xxx series has many problems on msi boards until today. When i place both ram sticks (2x 2gb ddr2 corsair) in the two available slots of the motherboard. I try put there 2 different ddr3 (original samsung and kingston).

I had one pin bent and now my dual channel memory works. Slots 1 and 2 on my m/b work fine but if i try 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 then all i get is a blank screen. Please ask me, i will provide more information.

Hello there, i have a problem which is bothering me quite a bit. Although this is a dual channel set only 1 x 8gb stick was installed, presumably the manufacturer bought dual channel as it's cheaper and used just one. Here is the link to the ram.

To think one bent pin would cause my two ram slots to not work. But not working in the second one. My problem is 100% related to nothing but ram incompatibility, which means something is probably wrong with the bios and memory controller.

I.e two matching strips in the blue slots and two matching strips in the black slots. Ok power off totally, remove cmos battery, remove cpu hsf, cpu, ram, use crc qd contact cleaner, spray the lga and ram slots, clean pins on ram wipe down cpu, reinstall everything, make sure hsf isnt too tight where board warping occurs. Which at the moment it is not set that way, in order to make the system boot up.

New ram 2 x 16gb corsair cmk32gx4m2b3000c15 i tried one stick of the new ram in the slot my existing one was in, again, nothing. Bad ram slot buty they work one at a time so should be ok ram slots one and three work together but not in dual mode. It only has 2 slots so they are in the correct ones.

Start date apr 18, 2007; When powered down, i connected the cpu cooler's foot (cooler master hyper 212 evo) to the power supply's zero (black wire). I now use slots a1 and b1 for dual channel use.

This is called mismatched memory. Second ram slot is not working! But, if i put a ram in the first slot, the computer boots perfectly.

The result might surprise you. I am wondering if flashing the bios would help. Once i boot it up, the computer won't boot.

While i had the case open a few mins ago to swap the ram, i tried putting the ram in dual channel on slots 3. We have to stress an important point here: Ram slots 3 and 4 problems.

This is the number one problem with ram not working. This solved the issue for me. The fans etc are running but nothing is on the screen.

I used a magnified glass and a sewing pin and bent the one pin up in place so it had contact with the processor. On ryzen 2700x the same memorie sticks are working perfectly in dual channel. On ryzen 2700x the same memorie sticks are working perfectly in dual channel.

Intel system not working in dual channel suggest bad ram, but they work one at a time so should be ok. Both of them working fine in the first slot. I know this sounds completely bizarre but that's the problem i'm facing, when i've got my ram in single channel it boots up absolutely fine but for the last 3 hours i've been wrestling with my computer to try and get it to run in dual channel before i finally gave up.

Not working separate in second one, and not working together with the first slot. This leaves bad cpu not a common occurrence, so it is most likely bent pins under the cpu it is the most likely cause of your.
